Cincinnati made it's way out to Masterson Station Park in Lexington, KY to conclude the 2015 cross country season. Numerous teams across the whole country would be showing up to run on the biggest club stage. Weather and course conditions were looking all set for a solid day of racing! To start off in the Men's B race, Phil Horn (27:42, 22nd) would pull out a huge race and finish in the top 10 all-time marks for an 8k! Also finishing in sub 30 finishes were Stephen Pair (29:25, 117th) and Colin McNally (29:43, 145th). No women competed in the Women's B race for UC.
Next would be the A races! The women had a great showing and placed as a team for the first time in awhile. The top 3 finishers were: Magen Brailey (27:22, 117th), Gabby Bobadilla (26:04, 154th), and Catherine Fadden (26:41, 193rd). Team places have not been posted so the official standings are not available. Great job though ladies! And finally, the Men's A race would cap off a long day of racing. The top 3 finishers for the men were: Kyle Klingler (27:08, 108th), Joey Stimler (27:20, 123rd), and Jeffery Griffiths (27:33, 140th). The men would place 25th overall out of 50 teams. A solid placing in one of the most competitive NIRCA races ever!
Overall, it was arguably the most successful season in UC Club Running history. We had the most runners compete and the record boards were changed frequently. We look forward to track season and eventually next CC season when we look to return most of our top runners. Great things ahead of the UC Running Club!
